Cox Automotive · Wholesale Experience Concepts

Three real technologies.
One connected wholesale story.

The hardware cannot be the idea. Each option below is a specific, market-available technology stack designed to make Cox Automotive’s wholesale capabilities tangible — and unmistakably interactive from the show floor.

The brief

Cool tech is not enough.

Last year’s transparent touchscreens were visually futuristic, but people could read them as passive AV. This round should make the interaction obvious first — then use that interaction to reveal the depth of Cox Automotive’s wholesale ecosystem.

01

Obvious interaction

A guest should understand what to touch, move or ask without needing a booth staffer to explain the hardware.

02

Real wholesale content

Every action should expose a real capability: sourcing, MMR and intelligence, condition, recon, marketplace, assurance, logistics or floor planning.

03

Market-real hardware

These are specific products we can call, quote, rent or buy — not speculative display concepts.

Technology is the interface. Cox Wholesale is the story.
Three technology options

Spec the screen. Then design the story around it.

01 / Tangible object recognition
Touch + physical tokens

Build the wholesale journey with your hands.

A physical vehicle token becomes the entry point. Add Cox capability tokens around it — SOURCE, VALUE, CONDITION, RECON, SELL, MOVE, FUND — and the table connects them into one live wholesale journey.

Tangible Engine 3.1 — object recognition in action

What the attendee actually does

Pick up a physical vehicle token.
Place it on the table to open a wholesale scenario.
Add capability tokens to solve the vehicle’s next need.
Watch the screen connect the choices into a complete Cox path.

What Cox Automotive gets to show

Instead of clicking through product tiles, the guest physically constructs the ecosystem. MMR and recommendations inform the decision; condition information and assurance reduce uncertainty; reconditioning prepares the vehicle; Manheim provides the marketplace; Central Dispatch / Ready Logistics move it; NextGear Capital can support the inventory purchase.

Why it fixes last year: the physical objects sitting on the screen are the invitation. It reads as something to do — not something to watch.
02 / Holographic conversational AI
Ask + respond + visualize

Ask Cox Wholesale.

Turn the breadth of Cox Automotive’s wholesale offering into a one-to-one conversation. The guest starts with a real inventory problem; the AI guide answers with an approved, visual Cox workflow rather than a generic product pitch.

What the attendee actually does

Choose one of three visible challenge cards: SOURCE SMARTER, MOVE AGED INVENTORY, or GET TO SALE FASTER.
Ask the digital expert a question by voice — with on-screen prompt buttons as a noisy-show-floor fallback.
The avatar asks one short qualifying question.
The device visualizes a tailored wholesale path and hands the conversation to a Cox specialist.

What Cox Automotive gets to show

This direction puts Cox Automotive Intelligence front and center, while still grounding every answer in concrete wholesale services. A sourcing question can surface personalized inventory recommendations and MMR; an aged-inventory question can lead into channel strategy, recon and marketplace reach; a transportation question can connect Manheim checkout to Central Dispatch.

Interaction cue: pair the M2 with a large physical header — “ASK ME A WHOLESALE QUESTION” — plus three example prompts. The invitation must be louder than the hologram.
03 / Gesture-controlled large-format display
Body tracking + 86″ screen

Put inventory in motion.

A large 86″ display becomes an active wholesale decision wall. Attendees move vehicles through the journey with simple hand and body gestures — making the interaction visible to everyone in the aisle.

What the attendee actually does

Step into the activation zone and “grab” a vehicle onscreen with a gesture.
Route it toward the next decision: source, value, inspect, recon, sell or move.
Each motion exposes the Cox tool or service that supports that step.
Complete the route to reveal one connected end-to-end wholesale path.

What Cox Automotive gets to show

The wall makes interdependence visible. MMR and condition data inform a decision; vehicle services prepare inventory; marketplace choice creates the selling opportunity; logistics completes the move; floor planning can support the buy. The guest is literally moving inventory through Cox Automotive’s ecosystem.

Why it fixes last year: the behavior is visible from the aisle. Someone waves, the screen responds, and nearby attendees immediately understand that the display is interactive.
Side-by-side

What we are actually buying or renting.

The key difference is not screen shape. It is the input method — physical object, conversation, or body movement — and therefore the type of wholesale story the guest experiences.

The content architecture

Different interface. Same real Cox wholesale ecosystem.

Cox Automotive’s current inventory offering connects marketplace, vehicle information and valuation, reconditioning, assurance, transportation and floor planning. Manheim’s 2026 materials also highlight MMR, personalized recommendations / Inventory Curation, evolved Condition Reports and a more seamless physical + digital marketplace.
